I said: I’m not sure but I don’t think so because MS isn’t something you catch, like measles, the flu or polio; it’s our bodies malfunctioning. It’s like eyes or kidneys failing; or hearts and brains. We adapt, adjust, accommodate and improvise. Most MS treatments are suppressing the immune system, not a cure. No germs are killed or organs repaired. Nothing is fixed. MS might happen if you were exposed to a virus and were born in a northern area. Or if you didn’t eat many vegetables and caught colds often. We don’t know, so we treat symptoms, just like wearing glasses or getting insulin shots treats other malfunctions. We adapt, adjust, accommodate and hopefully accept. There’s no cure but we endure. Attitude is our strongest medicine. (Dr. Joseph Cardillo)
