A doctor at the Mayo Clinic says, Yes people with MS can exercise. Take an individual approach because disability in MS can vary from person to person. Feeling very tired, weakness and poor coordination discourage some people from exercising. But being active can help people with MS in many ways.
Some studies show that the benefits of exercise far outweigh the challenges if you have MS. Remember not to overdo it though, moderation is essential. Regular exercise can help with obesity and can improve mood, sleep and more.
Check with your healthcare professional before starting a routine, but people with MS can benefit from exercise. 30 minutes of physical activity at least five days a week can increase strength and balance, increase bowel and bladder control, and decrease stiffness known as spasticity with MS.
