I remember when I was first diagnosed the doctor told me, “ don’t worry Kim, they are making a lot of progress with Multiple Sclerosis research. They’ll have a cure soon.” What I have learned is how complex and incredibly wonderful our bodies are, and what an important role our nervous system plays in enabling our bodies to function properly.
What a cure for MS means: 1) Ending disease activity for those of us who have MS. 2) Restoring what has been lost by repairing the nervous system and re-training the body how to function. 3) Ending the disease forever by finding the cause of MS and what triggers it, and protecting against it.
What a wonderful day, when MS can be cured and prevented! Thank you to all who are working on this!
